Why can’t more companies leave the decision of vesting periods to the investors ?

In some cases vesting periods are a necessity for the growth of a company. But what about the times when it’s not ? Why can’t investors be given the right to vote on whether vesting should take place or not ?

Vesting periods also drive away many serious investors who are willing to pay to make a profit.

It’s really not a bad idea, some companies are already seeing success with giving investors the choice to vote on vesting status. GPool is doing this and they’re seeing no problems with it. So why can’t other companies do the same.

In the end all companies want to do is lock up tokens for as long as possible. But ideas like these give so much more value for the investor to put money into. It’s a really nice idea to implement in a platform.
